Letterkenny Autism Family Support Group - World Autism Awareness Day

Join Us in Raising Awareness – World Autism Awareness Day, 2 April 2026

To mark World Autism Awareness Day on 2 April, you are considered supporting this important initiative by encouraging staff to wear blue, sharing an awareness message on social media, or displaying information in public offices.

Mill River Conservation Group 

"The Coast Starts At My Feet"

A great online event from the Mill River Conservation Group Buncrana. They will be looking at how what we do inland impacts our rivers, drains and ultimately the sea, with practical ideas for community action, pollution prevention and climate resilience.

PEACEPLUS Common Ground Project 

Common Ground is a three-year PEACEPLUS funded programme led by the Northern Ireland Federation of Housing Associations (NIFHA), in partnership with ICSH in ROI and Housing Associations across NI. The project is centred on supporting Housing Boards as community anchors, offering meaningful, practical support to strengthen community cohesion, inclusion, leadership, and cross-border collaboration through a social housing lens.

Creative Brain Week

Booking is now open for Creative Brain Week, featuring a dynamic mix of world-leading neuroscientists, educationalists, health policy makers, artists, and innovators who will explore the intersection of the brain and creativity.

Invasive Species Week 2026 will take place from the 22nd to the 28th June.

Invasive Species Week is coordinated by members of the British-Irish Council to raise awareness on invasive species  and actions to prevent their spread.

Creative Climate Action Fund III Grant Call (2026-2029)

Creative Ireland is delighted to announce the launch of a new €6.5 million Creative Climate Action Fund. It will support imaginative, large-scale, creative, cultural and artistic initiatives that support communities around climate change and empower people to make meaningful behavioural change.

The Creative Climate Action Fund III (2026-2029) is an initiative of the Creative Ireland Programme in partnership with the Shared Island Initiative and the Department of Environment, Climate and Communications.

Reconciliation Fund Outreach Workshops

In advance of the opening of the Reconciliation Fund Annual & Strategic Partnership Grant rounds and the launch of the new Reconciliation Fund Strategy 2026-2029 in March 2026, the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade Reconciliation Fund invites you to attend their series of Outreach Workshops over the course of March 2026.    If you intend to submit an application in this year’s round, you are strongly recommended you attend one of these outreach workshops. 

Please Note: this year’s Annual Round will open in March and not February as in previous years. The exact opening date will be communicated in due course, however we expect it to be around St Patrick’s Day. Strategic Partnership Applications will be by invitation only to eligible groups, with further details being made available at the workshops.

Community Heritage Grant Scheme 2026

Our Community Heritage Grant Scheme is now open for applications. The scheme supports community/voluntary groups nationwide with heritage projects - built, natural, and cultural.

The maximum amount available per organisation is €25,000. The closing date for applications is 20th March 2026 at 8pm.

Open Rivers Programme

The European Open Rivers Programme is a grant-giving organisation dedicated to restoring healthy, free-flowing rivers across Europe by supporting the removal of small, obsolete dams. 

They are inviting new applications for our grants from 13:00 CET on 16th February 2026 until 13:00 CET on 13th March 2026. Key upcoming dates are available on the calendar page of their website.

ChanageX - Funding for community projects in Donegal

ChangeX, a non-profit organisation that connects communities with proven ideas and funding to empower impactful community projects.

With support from Greencoat Renewables, ChangeX has just launched community funds in wind farm communities across Ireland, including in Donegal, to enable local groups, schools, and organisations to build sustainable, thriving communities. The Beam Hill Wind Farm Community Fund is now accepting applications for funding to start or expand a community project. The deadline to apply is March 12th.

New Solutions Pilot Grants

Minister of State with responsibility for Community Development and Charities, Jerry Buttimer TD, has launched the New Solutions Social Innovation Pilot Grant Scheme, a €4 million fund to support early-stage social innovations in Ireland.
