Free Trees for Community Groups
Donegal PPN will receive around 200 saplings from the Tree Council of Ireland and will distribute approx 40 saplings to registered groups (1) in each Municipal District. Please apply via expression of interest Form attached.
To help The Tree Council understand the impact of these tree donations, they kindly ask that you provide details of the intended distribution and planting locations for the requested trees.
In addition, please ensure that all groups and communities receiving trees are aware that they are requested to register their tree planting activity by completing the Event Form on our website.
Collecting this information allows The Tree Council to:
Track where tree planting is taking place during National Tree Week
Measure the reach and impact of the initiative
Ensure appropriate recognition for all partners involved
Support the continued distribution of trees by Coillte in future years
A mix of birch, silver birch, rowan & whitethorn will be distributed to successful groups
