Providing homes across the community

There are three different types of private housing grants available for older people and disabled people to fund works to their property which will help make their homes safer, warmer and easier to get around.

The Housing Adaptation Grant for Disabled People assists with the works needed to make a dwelling more suitable for a person with a disability.

The Mobility Aid Grant helps with works needed to make a house more suitable for a person with a mobility problem.

The Housing Aid for Older People Grant helps older people living in poor housing conditions to have necessary repairs or improvements carried out.

Home Loans are also available through the Local Authority Home Loan (LAHL) and the Local Authority Purchase & Renovation Loan (LAPR)

Cubbie Applications

Final Call — LEADER Funding Closing Soon (Cubbie Applications)

Please note final applications for LEADER funding for Cubbie must be submitted no later than mid-February.

To help with your application, you are advised to watch a short video from Yvonne Molloy, Project Co-ordinator at Ballymote Family Resource Centre, who successfully secured funding through Sligo LEADER. Yvonne speaks about the incredible impact Cubbie is already having for children, parents, and individuals accessing support for mental health and wellbeing — with daily usage within the centre.

Suirbhéanna - Surveys

LGBT Ireland and University College Dublin are currently carrying out the EQUICARES project in Ireland.

EQUICARES is a European research project looking at barriers people face when trying to access mental health services. The goal is to make these services more inclusive, respectful, and effective for everyone. LGBT Ireland and UCD are specifically interested in experiences of LGBTQI+ people, but the survey is open to everyone living in Ireland.
